Denver, Day 2

Today, the Hubby picked us up around lunch and we went sightseeing around town. We drove up into the mountains to see the beautiful view from up top. The mountains here are just gorgeous! Some of them are covered with snow and others are not. It just looks stunning when the sun is shining on them. Tomorrow is our last full day here in Denver, before we take off on a seven hour road trip to the Grand Canyon early Thursday morning. I'm so excited to see the Grand Canyon, but dreading the seven hours in the car with a one year old :) He has been stretching out his vocal cords these days and sitting in the car seat for seven hours is not going to be fun for him. So, we're probably going to hear his displeasure about the situation :) Either way, it's going to be worth it! Here are some pics from our day.

Also, the Hubby and I are thinking about trying out the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon, see here. Have any of you tried this? The Hubby mentioned it today and the idea terrifies me! However, I'm willing to try it, if it's worth it. From what I can understand, the view is awesome while you're on it, but standing on a piece of glass over 3600 feet of nothing but air is a scary thought :)

Tonight, we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Bubba Gump Seafood. I have a really cute video to share of the Little Monkey dancing to the music, but I can't load it on the computer right now :( Here are a few pictures from our dinner.

Denver, Day 1

We are here in Denver, CO and it's super cold! As you probably can imagine, we're exhausted. We haven't stopped since 4:00 this morning. We started off the trip forgetting the Little Monkey's food in our car (I know). We had two jars of baby food to last us for 7 hours. I felt just awful for forgetting his food, but we gave him some table food so I think he forgave us :) On our first flight, we ended up sitting on the tarmac for an hour before our plane took off. The Little Monkey did not enjoy that one bit ( neither did we). Luckily, we managed to arrive in Atlanta in time to grab a bit to eat before catching our flight to Denver. The rest of our day has been pretty boring. The Hubby went to his business meeting and the Little Monkey and I laid in bed and caught up on sleep. Here he is during bath time tonight.

Colordo, Here We Come

We're leaving town this afternoon heading to Nashville and then we're off to Denver early in the morning. Be sure and check back for the daily blog post and pics from our trip :)

We're Going Out West.

The Hubby has a business trip in Denver, Colorado starting Monday and once again we are tagging along with him. Our plan was to go to Denver and then head back on Friday. However, after a long discussion, we decided we would take a little road trip while we're out there. So after the Hubby is finished with his meetings on Thursday, we are driving to the Grand Canyon and then we're off to Vegas for two days. I couldn't be more excited! I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. I'm just hoping I haven't built it up too much in my mind :) I'm sure it's going to be breathtaking. I'm also pretty stoked about spending two days in Las Vegas. I've never been before and I'm positive we're going to have a blast! Once again, my plan is to blog every day while we're out there (like I did in Hawaii). However, with all the traveling we are going to be doing I imagine it's going to be difficult to have an internet connection (at least a good one). Denver should be no problem, but once we hit the road I may not be able to obtain a connection strong enough to upload pictures. I promise I will try :)

Taking It Easy.

I'm still recovering from our weekend. I just about have my house back in order and that always feels good to have things where they belong. The Little Monkey had a quite day. Yesterday, he was very vocal and was blabbering out loud, but today he seemed more relaxed and peaceful. He enjoyed watching Veggie Tales for most of the morning while I caught up on some photography work. Here are a few pictures from our lazy day.
