Blue Baby

Today, was a pretty lazy day. The Little Monkey and I decided we would venture out of the house and go eat lunch with the Hubby at Red Robin (Yum). It was so nice to get out of the house for a bit. I haven't been getting out too much, mostly because it's been 100 degrees here for the last few weeks and the heat just makes me sick. However, we had a good day while we were out, even though we just about burned up :) When we got back home, I immediately prepared myself for a late afternoon bidding war on E-bay. Here's what I won...

All About Baby.

Today, was our first doctor's appointment. Everything went great and it was so good to see our little baby!! The heartbeat was 168 bpm and we could start to see the little hand and feet buds. I am measuring 9 weeks and 1 day. Which moves the due date up to January 23, 2011. Since I will be having another c-section, the baby will probably be here around January 14th. For those of you who don't know, I needed a c-section with Deacon because he was too big for me. At 38 weeks, he was 8 lbs 3 oz. Pretty sure my doctor would have been right about him being a 9 lb baby, if he'd stayed until 41 weeks!! I'm hoping, this one won't be that big, but I will be happy either way :) I have this link to old wives tales that I wanted to share. I used it when I was pregnant with Deke and there were 12 of these that were right about the sex!! So far, this time around it has been more girl myths that are true, but there have been some boy myths too. Hmmm... :)

What's Happening This Week:

• He/she is about the size of a grape. Nearly an inch long!!
• It's little teeth start to form
• The heart finished dividing into four chambers and now the valve is starting to form
• The eyes are fully formed, but the eyelids are fused shut and will stay that way until around 27 weeks.
• It's mouth, nose and earlobes are more distinct this week.

Baby Update

I just wanted to let everyone know what has been going on over here lately. I am now 8 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling pretty good. I had a really bad day last week where all I wanted to do was go back to bed. I am on Zofran, which is the drug I had to take when pregnant with the Little Monkey. It's helping, but it definitely has it's side effects :( I go for my first doctor's appointment on the 21st of this month and we're pretty excited about that. Right now, I crave nothing but sweets! Which I've read, is a sign of a girl, but it's too early for that guessing game :) Sweets are numero uno on my list, with dill pickle chips right behind that. I'm trying to not indulge my cravings too much. I would like to keep my healthy weight if I can :) I have been trying to introduce the idea of another baby to the Little Monkey by pointing to my belly and saying "baby", but he's not getting it :) Might be too young for that yet. I'm sorry this is a pictureless post (grandparents), I know I'm in trouble for the lack of Deacon the last couple of weeks, but I promise my blogging will pick back up here soon. Right now, I can't seem to find the time at the end of the day. I know you all understand :)

Where I've Been....

We're pregnant with #2!!!

That's right, we will welcome a new baby to our family in January 2011!! I am 7 weeks pregnant and we are very excited!! I know most of you think that our cruise in May was for this purpose, but that was not the case. We just had a really good time (TMI?). HEHEHEHE :) Anyway, I have been so exhausted the last few weeks and in turn my poor blog has suffered. I just haven't had the energy to upload pics, edit, upload, title, etc. Hopefully, I can get back on track here in the next couple of weeks :) As for how I'm feeling, I wake up in the mornings pretty nauseated and go to bed nauseated, but most of the afternoon I'm doing good. So far, my morning sickness has been nothing compared to what it was like with the Little Monkey, but it's still pretty early to assume I'm gonna have it easier. I guess we'll see :) Also, make sure you check back in the next few weeks because I plan on doing the weekly belly pic once I start showing :) So, please forgive my lack of blogging in the coming weeks! I promise not to be lazy for too much longer :)
